Films of the 80's
Films from the 80's commonly portrayed our fears during the Cold War. Russians were commonly portrayed as enemies that posed a very real threat to our safety. Yet at the same time we had films like Back To The Future and the Star Trek films that concentrated on the better qualities of humanity, our ability to be faced with seemingly insurmountable odds and survive bettering ourselves in the process. There are lessons to be learned from stories such as these.

- The classic film starring Michael J. Fox that involves a very humorous view of time travel. This is one film that is senonamous with the 1980's. No one that has seen this film has looked at their parrents quite the same way since.
- Red Dawn
- A film that portrays the fear of a Soviet attack of the U.S. Several teens escape to the mountains as their town is invaded. Eventually these teens begin to conduct terrorist operation against enemy forces since they are trapped behind enemy lines.

- A kid from a small town trailer park with no hope for the future comes to realize that he is the galaxy's last line of defense.

- The story of a high school kid that hacks into the NORAD computer system thinking it is a gaming company. Unfortunately he nearly starts a nuclear war when the computer thinks the game is real.
